πAtmosphere Module
Overview
The Atmosphere Module provides dynamic control over the skydome, fogdome, clouddome, and lighting settings. This module allows you to use gradients and curves (setup in an Atmosphere Profile) to detail the way that your scene's colors look in your game.
Key Features
Sky Dome Controls
Control sky colors
Control stars, rainbow, galaxy, and light scattering FX
Control rainbow size and placement (rainbow brightness is controlled by the Material Manager Module
Control sun and moon halos
Fog Dome Controls
Control the fog color
Control the fog density
Handle variation with the fog
Change the way that light illuminates the fog
Cloud Dome Controls
Manage properties for the individual cloud styles
Provides controls for the default Cloud FX if the weather module is not active on the Weather Sphere
Usage Examples
Change the color of the sky to orange at sunset
Change the color of the Sky Zenith gradient, Sky Horizon, Fog Colors, and Light Flare to orange around 75% of the way through the gradient. See the documentation on Meridiem Time for an explanation on why this works!
Decrease the brightness of the ambient light at night
Set your ambient light multiplier property to interpolate
Then lower the magnitude of the curve between 0.75 to 1 and 0 to 0.25
