Overview

In COZY: Stylized Weather, biomes play a pivotal role in shaping the natural landscapes and environmental diversity of your Unity projects. Biomes are a fundamental concept within COZY, offering a way to categorize and define the unique characteristics of different regions within your digital worlds.

A biome on its own is an empty volume that has a weight. COZY Biomes can operate in global mode where the weight of the biome applies in all areas of the world, or in local mode where the weight is tied to the distance to a trigger collider.

Modules

However when a biome is paired with modules, it becomes an incredibly useful tool in the COZY arsenal. Use local atmosphere modules to transition to a reddish sky around a volcano or fade fog away while inside a building. Use climate and weather modules to create realistic desert or tundra ecosystems. Use global ambience modules to easily summon and remove aurora borealis as it benefits your story.

Crafting Immersive Worlds

With COZY Biomes, you have the power to craft immersive digital worlds teeming with environmental diversity. Whether you're creating a vibrant rainforest, a serene beach, or a harsh, windswept desert, biomes are your key to establishing the visual and atmospheric characteristics that make your scenes come to life.

In the world of COZY, biomes are not just static designations; they are living, breathing environments that respond to your creative vision and provide players with unforgettable experiences. Explore the endless possibilities that COZY Biomes offer, and watch as your Unity projects transform into dynamic, visually stunning realms of natural wonder.

Setup a New Biome

In the toolbar, click on Distant Lands/Cozy/Create Cozy Biome

Now press the 'Add Modules' button to add a new module and select the module that you would like to add.

This will create a new local biome in your scene. Edit the collider size to determine the size of your biome or use a for more control over your biome trigger.
